Chittoor: Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy condoled the death of eight sanitation workers in Chittoor district, on Friday.
The eight workers inhaled poisonous gases during a cleaning operations at Sri Venkateshwara Hatchieries Limited in Palamaner mandal of Chittoor district. The YSRCP leader conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased. Meanwhile, YSRCP MLA Sunil Kumar (Putalapattu) reached Palamaner and met the bereaved families. He demanded the government to pay Rs 20 lakh to each of the families of the deceased and also file criminal charges against the management of the hatcheries.
The Chittoor sub-collector, on Friday, announced Rs 2 lakh to each of the bereaved families as immediate financial assistance.
