YS Jagan assures all help to kidney patients

Uddanam: YSRCP president and Leader of the Opposition in AP Assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday called on the people of Uddanam village in Srikakulam district, who have been suffering from chronic kidney ailments. This is part of YS Jagan's two-day visit to Srikakulam.

Several people in the village are suffering from kidney ailments and the present government hasn't done much to alleviate the lot of the people. The people of the village poured out their woes before YS Jagan.

Most patients are forced to shell out between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 for undergoing dialysis every month. The people told YS Jagan that they were not getting any support from the Government. Though the Government has promised to set up a research centre at the village, it remained at best a pipe-dream. As a result, the villagers are forced to travel to either Srikakulam or Visakhapatnam to undergo dialysis.
