Pawan Kalyan’s desperate rhetoric exposes subservience to TDP: Ashok Babu

Tadepalli, Dec 20: YSRCP Vemuru constituency In-charge Varkooti Ashok Babu, strongly criticised Pawan Kalyan for turning his party cadre into subordinates of the TDP and also indulging in diversionary politics through provocative and undemocratic statements. He said Pawan Kalyan’s actions are not even being accepted by his own social group, which is increasingly distressed by his conduct and his submission to TDP leadership. Ashok Babu remarked that frustration over being politically irrelevant has driven Pawan Kalyan to make irresponsible comments, especially when Chandrababu Naidu himself has admitted that Pawan’s political graph has fallen, prompting desperate attempts to divert public attention.
He questioned why Pawan Kalyan remains silent on the failure to implement promises made to the people, and why he refuses to speak against the privatisation of government medical colleges and the alleged irregularities behind it, even when Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded a probe. He also means to know why Pawan Kalyan is mute over plans to privatise government schools, while instead resorting to threats, abusive language, and crude gestures that demean democratic discourse. Ashok Babu condemned the misuse of the police machinery under the coalition government, pointing out that even social media users and youngsters have been illegally arrested and jailed, and people have been imprisoned merely for displaying posters. He asserted that such repression never occurred during Y.S. Jagan’s tenure and said this is the true face of a tyrannical regime. He warned that growing unease within Pawan Kalyan’s own social base over his subservience to the TDP should be a wake-up call, and advised him to speak responsibly and uphold democratic values.
