*YSRCP seeks action against Buchaiah Chowdary over ‘Threatening’ remarks*

Tadepalli, April 20:  YSR Congress Party lodged a formal complaint at the Tadepalli Police Station against Rajamahendravaram Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary, alleging that his recent remarks were not only directly threatening but also posed a serious risk to law and order in the state. YSRCP SC Cell Working President Kommuri Kanaka Rao stated that Buchaiah Chowdary’s comments—reportedly saying “we are in power, we can eliminate if we choose”—were widely circulated across electronic and social media, going far beyond political criticism and amounting to incitement to violence. He expressed concern that such statements could create fear among the public and deepen social divisions, especially when made by a person holding a responsible public position.

Kanaka Rao emphasized that such provocative and inflammatory remarks are against democratic values and are legally punishable. In his complaint, he urged the police to register an FIR under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, conduct a prompt and impartial investigation, and take strict legal action against Buchaiah Chowdary.
