Women must be self reliant

May,2013: Women must grow socially, financially and politically said Smt YS
Vijayamma the honourary President of the YSRCP. Addressing a huge gathering of
the women at Suneela Pranganam in Bapatla this evening, she said women are
unable to walk freely in the broad day light these days.

Women were
confident and they had all the protection under YSR regime she opined. While we
don’t get water for drinking, Government is bothered about the scarcity of beer
in summer she ridiculed. This Government was thinking in the direction of running
the liquor shops for better income she said. The PCC President Botsa Satyanrayana is
himself a liquor don she condemned. YSRCP will never use liquor as an income
generating item she said.

YSRC policy is to see that women could walk free at any point of time in the society
and they must be  self reliant with sound education Smt Vijayamma added.
Kirans welfare schemes are nothing but a change of name of YSR schemes she
said. Whileall the rates are hiked, the leader of the opposition Chandrababu Naidu  is doing match fixing politics with congress
she charged.

Like YSR,
Sri Jagan will also look after the women like a brother and the education for
women will be free from LKG to PG she assured. The pension will be Rs 700 for
old citizens and Rs 1000 for physically challenged she said. All welfare
schemes of YSR will continue further she stated.

Most of the news
these days is on atrocities of women she stated. Suicides, murders, rapes,
kidnapping and harassment of women has become a regular feature she said.  This is shameful for the country and also the
state she opined. There is no end to this sorrow state of affairs for the women
smt Vijayamma said. //
