Women, farmers to get Interest-free loans

Ravi Rala (Ranga Reddy
Dt), Dec 13, 2012: Continuing her series of Rachchabanda interactions with
women in Ranga Reddy district, Smt. Sharmila has assured women and farmers they
would get interest-free loans when the YSR Congress party comes to power under
the leadership of its president Sri. Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Participating in the
Rachchabanda get-together at Ravirala village in Maheswaram Mandalam on
Thursday, she assured them that Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy would surely keep his
promise and grant interest-free loans for women for their economic empowerment
after coming to power. “Not only women, farmers too will get interest-free
loans putting a full stop to their financial difficulties,” she told them amid
thunderous applause by the big gathering of women.
Smt. Sharmila told them
that Kiran Kumar Reddy Government has been cheating women and farmers in the
name of 25 paisa interest as they are actually being forced to pay an interest
ranging from Rs.1.50 to Rs.2 on their loans.
Her remarks were in
response to a flood of complaints from women that they were paying more interest
though the loans were reportedly sanctioned to them on 25 paisa interest. The entire gathering replied in the negative in
unison when she asked whether they did pay more interest than the proposed 25
paisa at any point of time during the regime of Dr. YSR.
