What did Chandrababu do for the welfare of Muslims?

Kurnool: YSR Congress party (YSRCP) MLA Ijaiah today lashed out at Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu for torturing the youth who had demanded for the implementation of Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) 2014 election promises to the Muslim minorities. Speaking at a press conference along with YSRCP Coordinator Siddartha Reddy at Nandikotkur in the district, the MLA said that Chandrababu was trying to threaten Muslims by booking the youth under false cases. "What did Chandrababu do for the welfare of Muslims in the last four years? During the Nandyal bye-elections, Chandrababu promised to pay salaries to the Imams who work in the Mosques. Did he provide salaries to the Imams?" he questioned.

YSRCP Coordinator Siddartha Reddy demanded that the Muslim youth be released and that the cases be withdrawn. "Muslims would not be scared of Chandrababu's actions. YSRCP will stand by the Muslim community at all times," he said.

The YSRCP leaders staged a protest rally against the arrest of eight youth who held placards against Chandrababu at the 'Nara Hamara TDP Hamara' meeting at Guntur. The leaders handed a memeorandum in this regard, over to the local Circle Inspector.
