Vijayamma, Bharati take up day long Deeksha

Hyderabad, May 28,
2013: YSR Congress Party honorary president Smt. Y.S.Vijayamma and party Chief
Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife Smt. Y.S.Bharati began a day-long Deeksha at
Indira Park here this morning protesting
against his illegal detention for the last one year.
Scores of party leaders and hundreds of party activists attended the
protest programme wearing black badges and sat on Deeksha along with Smt.
Vijayamma and Smt. Bharati.
Before beginning the Deeksha, the two have garlanded the statue of YSR
at the protest site amid ‘YSR Amar Rahe’ and ‘Jai Jagan’ slogans by the party
activists.
The Deeksha has been part of the two-day protest programme announced by
the YSRCP to vent its ire against the illegal detention of Sri Jagan Mohan
Reddy for the last one year. Party rank and file had conducted candle rallies
across the state on Monday.
Smt. Vijayamma and Smt. Bharati attended a candle light protest rally at
People’s Plaza Monday evening.
