TDP is political rehab Centre: YSRCP

Hyderabad, March 22: 2014:
Terming the boasting of influx into TDP as an inconsequential affair, YSR
Congress has said Chandrababu Naidu has turned his party into a political
rehabilitation centre to take in all and sundry as he needs crutches to walk
the 2014 election in the absence of his own strength.

“Congress leaders moving in
to his Party has been pictured as a major issue but in reality the Congress is
on the verge of extinct in the state. People coming in droves speak of their
desperation for a political platform and welcoming them shows the weakness of
TDP” party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Saturday.

Changing parties is not an
uncommon practice in politics, but the way TDP has been projecting the entry of
some of the Congress leaders only emphasizes the fact that Chandrababu Naidu
needs crutches to fight this election as his own strength has proved to be very
tiny in the recent by-polls.

“The way the TDP leader has
been talking only establishes that he has no leaders in the constituencies from
where leaders are joining and his appeal to the cadre to adjust and restrain
themselves to bear the inconvenience shows the desperate state he is in,” she

Congress has committed many
blunders from the day it has forced YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to leave the Party
till the division of the State and it will be wiped out in the State. In this
backdrop, some of the orphaned leaders may look towards other parties and TDP
opening its gates like a political rehabilitation centre only shows the
bankruptcy of ideology of both the parties, she said.

The whole exercise seems
like Congress and TDP merger as the latter has saved Congress on numerous
occasions. It has helped it at the Centre during FDI voting and saved the Kiran
Kumar Government in the State during the no confidence motion we have moved.

The coming together of
Congress and TDP is no more news.   The two have the common ideology
of taking on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. But they will not succeed as it was proved
in the previous by-polls and this time, the wave would be stronger as YSRCP was
with the people and the two parties have been drifting away from the people,
she said.
