Take local body polls as major challenge

Hyderabad, June 8, 2013:
YSR Congress party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma called upon party
rank and file to take the forthcoming local body polls as a challenge and work
in that direction to face them successfully.

Speaking at a review
meeting of the party affairs with party leaders at her Louts Pond residence here
on Saturday, Smt. Vijayamma asked them to concentrate on the people’s problems
and take them up on a priority basis.

“You shall always be
alert to the people’s problems and fight on behalf of people,” she told them.
“Continuous interaction with people is the thing you should concentrate
on.” 

Asking the leaders to
work in unison and bring victory to the party in the local body elections, Smt.
Vijayamma said they should stick to the villages, mandals and municipalities in
their respective constituencies and prepare the party to face the challenge.

YSRCP senior leaders,
observers of the parliamentary constituencies, district unit conveners and
assembly segment coordinators from the Andhra region have attended the review
meeting. She will review the party affairs with leaders of the Telangana and
Rayalaseema regions on Sunday and Monday respectively.
