Tadeaplli, July 14: Leaders of the YSR Congress Party expressed profound grief over the passing of senior leader, former Minister, and veteran Kapu movement leader Sri Mudragada Padmanabham, describing his death as an irreparable loss to Andhra Pradesh politics, the Kapu community, and the party.
YSRCP Parliamentary Party Leader Y.V. Subba Reddy said Mudragada dedicated his entire life to public service and fought relentlessly for people's issues and the rights and dignity of the Kapu community. He said his commitment to social justice, principled politics, and public welfare would continue to inspire future generations.
YSRCP State General Secretary and official spokesperson, former MLC Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, said Mudragada was a fearless mass leader who devoted his life to the Kapu movement and remained uncompromising in his struggle for social justice and the rights of the underprivileged.
Former Minister Velampalli Srinivasa Rao described him as a leader of impeccable integrity whose unwavering commitment to the people and public causes made him a role model in political life.
Former MLA Malladi Vishnu recalled Mudragada's long association with Vijayawada and his decisive role in the Kapu movement alongside the late Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga. He noted that Mudragada's hunger strikes and sustained campaign for Kapu reservations brought the issue to national attention and reflected his lifelong commitment to principled politics. Former Minister Dr. P. Anil Kumar Yadav said the party had lost a committed movement leader whose dedication and courage would always be remembered.
All the leaders conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, prayed for eternal peace to Mudragada Padmanabham's soul, and paid rich tributes to his enduring legacy.
