Sankranthi should herald prosperity: Vijayamma

Hyderabad, Jan12, 2013:
YSR Congress party honourary president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma has extended her greetings
to the people of the state and Telugus abroad on the eve of Makara Sankranthi
festival.

Observing that Sankranthi
festival symbolizes the importance of rural economy and the traditional wealth,
she expressed the hope that the festival would augur well for the villages and bring
people, especially farmers and farming labourers peace, happiness and
prosperity.

“More and more crops
should flourish in Andhra Pradesh, the rice bowl of India bringing prosperity
to the farmers and the state,” Smt. Vijayamma said in a statement.
