Nandyal poll, battle for righteousness

Nandyal (Kurnool dist), Aug 3: Affirming
that the battle for Nandyal is the fight for righteousness, YSR Congress
President and Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that
Chandrababu Naidu and his governance has been steeped in a bundle of lies as he
had never respected values and ethics in the political system.

Addressing a mammoth gathering at the
SPG Grounds here on Thursday he said, ‘ the entire cabinet of Chandrababu Naidu
has fanned around the constituency only after it came to know that there would
be a contest and it is between the good and bad practices of parliamentary
democracy. We are fighting for righteousness and the ruling dispensation has
been spreading lies after lies after lies in a constant flow as it has done
nothing for the region or the constituency.’

‘We have fielded a candidate as we
follow the ethics and this seat was won by our Party and the Chief Minister had
blatantly engineered defections and had taken away 21 of our MLAs shamelessly.
This by-election should teach Chandrababu Naidu a fitting lesson for his
nefarious deeds, he said.

The battle for Nandyal is a fight for
righteousness and we are on the right path while Chandrababu Naidu has been
misusing official status and machinery and using all his offices but all that
will be in vain as people of this region know the truth and are ardent fans of
YSR, he said.

This by-poll will be a pre-cursor to the
2019 general elections and all religious texts tell only thing that the good
will prevail over the bad. On the lighter vein he narrated a funny story of an
accused asking the judge to forgive him as he is an orphan and when enquired
the counsel told the judge that he accused has murdered his parents and became orphan.
This is the nature of Chandrababu Naidu, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu had usurped the Party
and power from NTR and his life has always been with dubious deals, so is his
governance, he said adding that Pawan Kalyan is being used as pawn by Chandrababu
Naidu who remembers the minorities only during elections.

The number of pensioners had come down after TDP came to power and it
has increased after the by-poll was announced, he said adding that the number
of district would be increased after 2019 polls and Nandyal would become a
district.
