Naidu scared of Sharmila’s Padayatra: YSRCP

Scared by the Maro Prajaprasthanam Padayatra
of Sharmiala, which is drawing tremendous response, TDP President N Chandrababu
Naidu, who is also on a padayatra, has been doling out promises which are
impossible to fulfill, YSR Congress has charged.

“Chandrababu Naidu promising that his first
signature after coming to power would be on waiver of farmer’s loans but he did
not mention the mechanism as to how the promise would be fulfilled. He should
clearly specify if it would be from the budgetary or not,” Party CGC member
Konathala Ramakrishna told media persons in Hyderabad on Friday.

YSR had promised free power and it was
included in the budget. Naidu should tell if the present loans amounting to Rs
1,00,000 crores, after taking into account term loan, would be waived and
include the State budget which less than that total sum.

“These are brazen lies Naidu has been telling
only to wade through the padayatra and is speaking without any substance. He
has been telling things which cannot be implemented. He should also tell
whether the waiver would be from the State funds or the Central funds,” he
said.

“YSR has never promised waiver of farmers’
loans. As a policy matter, he took up the matter with the Centre and got the
waiver scheme on a national level,” he said.

The tumultuous response to Sharmila’s
padayatra is nothing but the anger people have against the State Government and
main opposition TDP as the two parties have been drifting away from people and
reality, he said.

Working to fulfill the ideals of YSR and under
the guidance of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party will take up all programmes in
the interests of people, he said adding that Sharmila’s venture has baffled
both Congress and TDP as they thought that the Party will be affected by
confining Jagan to jail.

“When things went wrong, TDP leader in a knee
jerk reaction went on promising things which are not practical and impossible
to meet,” he said.
