Serving notices to Peethams, disgraceful

Tirupati, August 3: Former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy slammed the coalition government for serving notices on the pontifs of various peethams which is an insult to Sanathana dharma.
Speaking to media here on Sunday, he said police serving notices to the pontifs of Srinheri and other peethams is a disgrace and insult to the keepers of Sanathana Dharma and Hindu dharma.
The coalition government has issued notices to over 32 mathams imcluding Sringeri, Mantralyam, Vykhanasa, Ahobilam, China Jeer and others.
This an attack on Hindu and Sanathana Dharma and is carried out under the supervision of Chairman BR Naidu, he said.
These mathams are functioning only to uphold Sanathana and Hindu dharma and insulting them by issuing notices by police is a disgraceful act, he said.
Asking the mathams to fix CC TV cameras and questioning them about arms is an insult to the revered institutions. This aprat imposing restrictions and issuing orders onthe conduct of the mathams cannot be  tolerated, he said. 
Why does these guidelines do not apply to guesthouses, he questioned.
The Chief Minister and his deputy are answerable to to this act of disgrace.
