Naidu may move confidence motion
29 Oct 2012 12:51 PM

Taunting the TDP chief
Chandrababu Naidu over his stance towards the Congress Government, YSR Congress
Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila said sarcastically
that Naidu might introduce confidence motion in favour of the anti-people Kiran
Kumar Reddy Government instead of moving a no-confidence motion.
Addressing a huge
public meeting at SK university campus at Kandukuru near Anantapuram on the 11th
day of her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra on Sunday, she said Naidu has become
silent and chosen to ignore the multifold increase in the prices of essential
commodities, RTC charges and power tariff besides the hike in sales tax by 4
per cent.
Instead of pulling down
the Government which has failed on all fronts, Naidu has decided to play a
political drama with his Padayatra, Sharmila said, adding that the TDP chief is
not bothered even though the poor are not in a position to have a full meal
daily. “Naidu is not playing the role of opposition leader. All the way, it
seems he may introduce a confidence motion in favour of the Government instead
of the no-confidence motion,” she remarked.
Sharmila said Naidu’s
love for the farmers has already been made known as 4000 farmers had committed
suicide during his stint as CM. But, he is a playing a new drama in the name of
Padayatra.
Naidu has increased
power charges eight times during the TDP regime and ignored his two promises on
total prohibition and the Rs.2 kg rice scheme. “People are not so innocent to
believe his false promises, she said, adding that Naidu has conspired with the
Congress with the fear that YSR Congress party might win all the seats in the
by elections.
