Naidu boycotting GoM part of Cong-TDP drama
11 Nov 2013 8:31 AM
Hyderabad, Nov 11, 2013: Continuing
its tirade against TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress Party on Monday
charged him with boycotting the GoM discussions as part of the drama being
enacted at the behest of the Congress high command.
Party spokesman and MLA G. Srikanth
Reddy told media persons here that Naidu should have gone to the discussions
with the GoM for putting up a spirited defense in favour of keeping the state
united respecting the sentiments of the people and the more than 3 month long agitation
in the Seemandhra area.
“It is not late even now. TDP should
submit a letter to the GoM demanding the Centre to keep the state unified,” he
advised Naidu.
Srikanth Reddy said
Naidu has no respect for democracy and Seemandhra people’s sentiments, opinions
and problems. “At the instance of Congress leadership, you have saved the Kiran
Kumar Reddy–led Congress Government during the no-confidence motion and
extended support to the FDI Bill in the Parliament by asking your members to be
absent in the RS. Is it also because Sonia asked you not to send your
representatives to the discussions with the GoM in return for not filing any
CBI cases against your illegalities? Or have they threatened your son Lokesh
with cases?” he questioned him.
YSRCP MLAs had
resigned well in advance going by media reports that the Congress high Command was
going to decide in favour of bifurcation. “People know very well that we have
taken a clear cut stand in favour of Samaikyandhra and why we quit our posts.
But no one knows why your MLAs did not quit so far for the sake of keeping the
state united?
Faulting Naidu’s
proposal to take up his second round of self- respect Yatra without expressing
a clear cut stand on bifurcation, Srikanth Reddy said the TDP chief will have
no answers if people question him during the Yatra on the issues Seemandhra
people will face after the division. “What
will be your reply if people question you on issues of job, education,
employees displacement, lack of irrigation water and the farmers’ problems?
“Naidu has only one
policy from the very beginning and that is the policy of cheating people,” he
said, adding that the TDP chief has been continuing the policy.
