Nagi Reddy condemns KCR's talk on Polavaram

Hyderabad, March 25,
2014: YSR Congress party on Tuesday condemned the TRS President K.Chandrasekhara
Rao’s repeated demand to change the Polavaram project’s design and his threat
not to release water to the projects in Seemandhra.

Addressing reporters
here, party farmers’ wing convener NVS Nagi Reddy said KCR has been indulging
in irreverent and meaningless talk for political mileage in Telangana.”Polavaram
project is part of the bifurcation bill but KCR has been making irrelevant statements
to provoke people and for taking undue political advantage,” he said, demanding
the Centre to take responsibility for his statements.

YSRCP had already
warned that water wars would erupt between the two states if the state was
divided. “Soon after the CWC decided on bifurcation, our party president Sri
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote to the Centre asking it to solve the water issues
first before going ahead with division. In the absence of such resolution, he
warned the Centre that water wars would break out. KCR’s statements are proving
our fears,” Nagi Reddy observed.
