Guntur: The police are being sent behind the YSRCP leaders and activists who are conducting bandh in a democratic and peaceful manner. MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy and nine other party leaders, who had been conducting bandh near Mangalagiri's bus stand were arrested by the police and taken to the police station.
Bandh is being conducted throughout Guntur district, as called for by YSRCP president YS Jagan in protest against the deceptive ways of central and state Governments with regard to sanctioning AP its special category status. As part of this, MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy led the party's leaders and activists in conducting a peaceful bandh since early in the morning, but was arrested by the police. Local youth held a bike rally in the city, asking for solidarity to the bandh.
