I pledge to rename Krishna district to NTR district: YS Jagan

Krishna district: YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that Krishna district would be renamed as NTR district after the founder of Telugu Desam Party and Former Chief Minister of undivided AP, who hailed from Nimmakooru village here. He made his announcement as soon as he stepped into Nimmakuru constituency in the district.

Later in the evening, YS Jagan took to his Twitter account to point out that NTR "had devoted his life to the service of Telugus, especially the downtrodden." His tweet further said that he pledged to rename Krishna district as Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) district "as a tribute to him, standing on his home ground, Nimmakuru," during his Padayatra.
