Eluru, Sept 26, 2012: YSR Congress party leaders, who led the dharna opposing the RTC bus fare hike today here, warned that the days of the Kirankumar Reddy Government are numbered.
Party MLA Bala Raju and MLC Seshu Babu, who led the dharna demanding the rollback of bus fare hike, said RTC charges and power tariff were not hiked even once during the YSR regime. “However, after the death of YSR, the Congress government continued to burden people with more taxes and hiking all charges,” they charged, adding that people are waiting to teach a fitting lesson to the Congress party.
In a similar protest by YSR Congress activists in Adilabad, party convener Boda Janardhan, Co-convener Ravi Prasad and party leader Anil Kumar warned the Government of dire consequences if the hike was not withdrawn immediately.
