GO 271 Has To Be Cancelled

Kurnool: YSRCP district committee member Ramachandra Reddy and Tuggali mandal's convener Jitta Nagesh emphasised that GO 271 would only deprive the farmers of their right of ownership and demanded its immediate cancellation.
YSRCP leaders staged an agitation in front of the local Tehsildar's office against the system of e-passbooks. Later they met Tehsildar T.Das and submitted a memorandum. Speaking on this occasion, they reminded that ROR law had been amended in 1971 and title deeds and pass books had been granted to farmers declaring their rights on the lands. This also created a sense of security for the farmers, they added. They criticised that GO 271 allowed ownership rights to whoever's name was registered on the computer irrespective of any proofs, they complained.
