FIR lodged against TDP MLC Rajendra Prasad

Nagarjuna lodged an FIR against TDP MLC Rajendra Prasad at the Nujiveedu police
station for making derogatory remarks against the sacred scripture Bible.

Police registered the
case under sections 153 A and 504 after Nagarjuna complained that Rajendra
Prasad’s comments have denigrated the sentiments of Christians. “It is not
prudent on his part to make these comments,” Nagarjuna told newspersons later.

In another development,
YSRCP Payakarao Peta MLA Golla Babu Rao slammed Rajendra Prasad for making
unnecessary comments against Vijayamma carrying bible in her hands during the
Padayatra.

“It is nothing but
political insolvency on TDP leaders’ part to make such derogatory remarks,” he
told journalists in Visakhapatnam, adding he always carries Lord Venkateswara’s
Photo in his pockets. “But, does it mean that I do religious preaching?” he
asked.
