Fight Against The Injustice Towards Farmers

Ananthapuram: YSRCP coordinator of Raptadu constituency in Ananthapuram
district, Topudurthi Prakash Reddy mentioned that the credit of Handri-Neeva
went to late leader Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy. As part of Handri-Neeva jala
chaitanya yaatra, he spoke in the public meeting held on Thursday at Atmakuru.

He exclaimed that Chandrababu was conspiring to steal the water to Kuppam from
Handri river when it was supposed to be given only till Neeva in Bangaru Palyam
area of Chittoor district, though Kuppam was 145km farther. Prakash Reddy
reminded that canal work had been started with Rs.420 crore budget for this
purpose. If this work is completed and water transfer is begun, 3.5 lakh acres
of the district would miss irrigation water. Only in Raptadu constituency,
77,000 acres of land will not receive irrigation, he explained. Prakash Reddy
slammed the ruling party leaders of the district for being indifferent to the
problem. He stated that he would not sit silent if farmers had to face
injustice.
