Cong, TDP have treated BCs as vote banks

Narasarao Pet, Oct 12,
2012: YSR Congress Party Guntur district BC cell convener B.Revathi said BCs
are of the view that they can flourish only under the rule of party president
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to reporters
here on Thursday, she said BCs constituted more than 50 percent of the
population in the state but both Congress and TDP governments have used them as
vote banks only till now.
“BCs were never given a proportionate
representation on the political platforms,” she said, charging the two parties
with selling the seats of Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council for crores of
rupees.
In this backdrop, BCs
are of the view that they will get justice only if Jagan becomes the Chief
Minister, she remarked.
