Comparing With Northeast States Is Foolish

At the Yuvabheri programme held at Vizianagaram, Prabhakar, a former professor, questioned what development had happened in the Northeastern states. Opining that the states were incomparable to AP with respect to security, geographical and political conditions, he mentioned that establishing steel and cement factories in those areas was hard, so pharmaceutical companies had been set up.

People from Vizianagaram tend to reach out to Visakhapatnam rather than Araku, which is equally distant, just because it has more facilities available, he said. Reminding how many industries in Visakhapatnam were ready to be shut down, he suggested that the act should be done now as all parties were ready. He confided that the sanction of special category status would bring a bright future to the youth of the state.
