Pileru: Rajampet YSR Congress Party MP Midhun Reddy recalled that it was former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who had accommodated reservations for Muslim community in the state. Speaking to media here today after touring Valmikipuram in Pileru constituency of Chittoor district, he said the Muslim minority community was provided with four per cent reservation by Dr YSR.
The YSRCP MP said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had been an obstacle for the reservations to Muslims. The TDP Chief has been trying to distance minorities from YSRCP. This was the reason Chandrababu was falsely propagating that YSRCP was in alliance with BJP, he said. "In any circumstance our party will not ally with BJP."
During the visit, over 100 families quit TDP and joined YSRCP in the presence of MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy.
