Chittoor: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has proved 'anti -farmer' in the residuary state again. He has been branded as " farmers' enemy" for adopting anti farmer policies ever since he became chief minister in the erstwhile AP government also.
YSR Congress party leader and MLA RK Roja lambasted Chandrababu for his failure in disbursing pending bills to the farmers who sold sugarcane to a factory in Gajula Mandyam in Chittoor district. Roja along with other party leaders and farmers staged dharna demanding to address the plights of the farming community immediately.
She said the CM made tall claims in the assembly that farmers welfare was accorded utmost priority but no action was taken towards this end. The benefits of the loan waiver scheme were not reached to the distressed farmers so far. They were also denied remunerative price and fresh bank loans due to delay in the loan waiver scheme.
Roja charged Chandrababu with failed to strengthen the agriculture sector completely. The TDP Chief destablised state owned Vijaya Diary to promote his family owned Heritage foods. Chittoor and Venkateswara sugar factories were also facing crisis . She questioned the government for running the private factories in profits.
