Chandrababu Naidu Staking Undue Credit

YSR Kadapa district, Feb 4: Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that Chandrababu Naidu has been taking undue credit for the irrigation projects that YSR has taken to the level of near completion. After inspecting the Paidipalem reservoir, which was taken to near completion by YSR by allocating over Rs 600 crores, he told media here on Saturday that Chandrababu Naidu has inaugurated the project and claimed that it was a dream project of his, though he did very little for the project.
During his three years in office Chandrababu Naidu has released just Rs 24 crores and has been staking full credit for the project, which is shameful, he said. Chandrababu is more interested in contracts and kickbacks and not the irrigation projects, he said. Earlier, he visited the houses of the shepherds who were overrun by RTC bus along with 200 sheep and the government has not been paying compensation.
The state has boasted of Chandranna Bheema (insurance) scheme which pays Rs 5 lakh to the family members of the deceased but in this case RTC has been insisting on signing an affidavit and wanted to pay only Rs 3 lakh as insurance.
Nearly 200 sheep were also killed in the mishap and the government is not accepting to pay any compensation which is unfair. The state should pay full compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the shepherds killed in the mishap and also compensate the loss of sheep, he said.
