Chandrababu known for eliminating of political adversaries

Demanding a third party inquiry by a central government agency to probe into the attack on Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport, YSR Congress leaders have said that Chandrababu’s past is laden with vindictive killings and his hands are soaked blood of political adversaries and affirmed that they would not be cowed down by such cowardly acts but their resolve to fight injustice has further be strengthened as we strongly feel that there is a conspiracy angle to the incident involving the TDP leadership.
Speaking to media at separate press conferences here on Friday, YSRCP leaders slammed the state chief minister, his cabinet colleagues and state police for irresponsible remarks laced with concocted versions to divert the attention from the main issue and demanded probe by a Central Agency which only can provide a free and fair inquiry as they have no faith in the state police which is apparently taking sides and trying to dilute the case. A person holding a dangerous weapon like a razor sharp knife and entering into the airport and freely coming into the VIP lounge shows that callous attitude of the police and it could not be a one-off incident or an accident.
The attacker had aimed at the neck of the leader but by a quirk of fate as someone had called from behind, our Party President had turned back and the knife had hit his raised arm which saved his life. The Chief Minster shamelessly tells that it was a minor incident and there was only a prick which was just half a centimeter deep, as if he has measured it. Doctors who attended on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had confirmed that the cut was 3.5 cm deep and it took eight to nine stitches to knot the wound, they said.
Whenever there is an incident of such gravity, it is the duty of the top leadership to first condemn the incident and then order for an inquiry and attend to other things. YS Rajasekhar Reddy had shown such maturity way back in 2003 when there was an attack on Chandrababu Naidu at Alipiri, at a time even when TDP cadre were scared to come out to express their views. YSR had condemned the incident and sat on a dharna in the capacity of Leader of Opposition but the developments now have taken a different course.
Chandrababu Naidu, started expressing other irrelevant things as to why leaders of neighbouring state or Delhi condemn the incident first, why should it be made an issue or what is the greatness of Jagan and so on, which shows his vindictive, cruel and inhuman nature, they said.
Chandrababu Naidu has the history of eliminating Vangaveti Mohan Ranga, Pingali Dasaratharam and others who were his adversaries and in Ananthapur district itself there were more than 470 political murders and no cases were booked, they said.
‘We are of the firm view that there is an angle of conspiracy into the incident and it was orchestrated. Chandrababu Naidu’s remarks on the manner in which YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had returned with a clean shirt, instead of the blood-soaked one, shows his intent,’ they said.
Party leaders YV Subba Reddy, Buggana Rajendernath, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayan and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said, the inquiry by a state agency would not give fair results going by the way the State DGP spoke to media hours after the attack in a tone and tenor which is unbecoming of a top brass police officer.
Followed by the of pitching of DGP, TDP ministers and other leaders had taken it forward by trying to project the attacker, identified as J Srinivasa Rao, as a fan of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and followed it up with pictures and eleven-page unfolded letter, purportedly recovered from the pocket of the accused while in reality the accused was a TDP worker who was given loan for building house sites in his native Mummidivaram, which shows on which side the accused stands. His place of work also belongs to a TDP leader who is aspiring for the Gajuwaka constituency, they said.
We will make the attack and the TDP government response as an issue and take it to the people as the conspiracy angle is crystal clear. We do not believe in the state investigation which is capable of picturing the victims as accused and demand a central probe.
