Eluru: Senior leader of the YSR Congress party (YSRCP) and Rajya Sabha member Vijaya Sai Reddy lambasted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for completely ignoring public issues and pursuing selfish interests.
Speaking at the YSRCP office here today, he observed that in the last four years, Chandrababu diverted Rs 5 lakh crore to foreign countries. Saying that Chandrababu's rule was full of corrupt practices, he demanded to know what the government did for the West Godavari district, which had elected 15 TDP MLAs to power. "I demand Chandrababu to speak out on the developmental activities in the district. Chandrababu encouraged hooliganism and sand mafia in the district," he added.
Vijaya Sai Reddy recalled that Chandrababu got himself felicitated by DWCRA women's groups, who were denied the loan waivers as promised in the elections. "We will bring back the Rs 5 lakh crore diverted abroad by Chandrababu after coming to power. We will also seize the passports of Chandrababu and Nara Lokesh soon after coming to power," he mentioned.
Responding to the Cabinet decision to withdraw police protection during the IT raids, he asked why Chandrababu was complaining of harassment by the BJP after four years of romance with the national party.
With a vision to design a people-friendly governance system in the State, Leader of Opposition in Assmbly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took up the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, he said. The YSRCP leader observed that thousands of people were approaching YS Jagan with their complaints and local issues across the districts.
