Tadepalli, April 14: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was invited to the Srimannarayana Mahayagnam by Tridandi Ashtakshari Sampathkumara Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy. The Jeeyar Swamy met him at his residence and formally handed over the invitation.
The Srimannarayana Mahayagnam will be held from April 19 to April 29 at Ullipalem village in Koduru mandal of Krishna district. The event is being organized as part of the Rajagopuram Kumbhaproksanam of the Sri Srimannarayana Swamy temple.
On this occasion, YS Jagan released the “Abhinava Melkote Bhakti Geeta Malika” CD and later honoured Jeeyar Swamy. The spiritual leader explained the significance of the temple and invited him to participate in the Mahayagnam.
YS Jagan said that spiritual and religious programmes bring unity and positivity to society. He stated that such Mahayagnams help in increasing spiritual awareness among people.
Former ministers Perni Nani and Vellampalli Srinivas, former MLAs Malladi Vishnu and Simhadri Ramesh Babu, along with several committee members and local leaders, were present during the programme.
