Call For Candlelight Vigil On Republic Day
23 Jan 2017 4:29 PM
- Babu backstabbed 5 crore people of AP
- YSRCP's consolidated struggle for SCS
- Candlelight vigil on Republic Day
- Call for making it a success
YSRCP called for holding a candlelight vigil at 6 p.m. on Republic Day in demand for the sanction of special category status for AP state. This programme shall be conducted in the headquarters of all 13 districts. This is a democratic and peaceful way of letting the Union Government know about the wish of all 5 crore people of AP. The leader of opposition in AP and YSRCP president, YS Jagan, called for everybody, especially the youth, to come forward and support the cause. He called for fighting for the benefit of AP state, irrespective of parties and social classes.
YSRCP has been fighting for the sanction of special category status for the past 2.5 years. It has been pleading the Government to keep the promise made in the parliament. In the legislative houses as well as the parliament, it has done many protests in many different ways like dharnas, rallies, deekshas and Yuvabheri programmes. YS Jagan has gone to the extent of indefinite hunger strike, only to meet with the Government's indifference.
TDP and BJP Governments went back on the promise they made to 5 crore people of AP at the time of election campaign. Chandrababu mortgaged the welfare of the state, only to keep himself from inquiry on cases like Cash for Vote.
