Bhumana's unique protest against bus fare hike

Sept 24, 2012: Opposing the Government’s decision to hike the RTC fares, YSR
Congress Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakara Reddy resorted to a unique protest in
the town today.

As
hundreds of activists followed him, Karunakara Reddy rode on a horse and went
round the streets decrying the bus fare hike. The activists raised slogans
against the Government and demanded an immediate rollback of the hike.

Speaking
on the occasion, he said the bus charges were not increased even once during
the YSR regime and charged the Kiran Kumar Reddy government with diluting the
welfare schemes introduced by YSR.

Assuring
that YSR Congress will agitate continuously seeking solutions to the people’s
problems, Karunakara Reddy asked people to teach a lesson to the government.
