AMARAVATI: TDP President Chandrababu Naidu playing cheap tactics to defame the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), said Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita. Speaking to media on Monday, she lashed out at TDP chief over his allegations that YSRCP had asked Tekkali MLA Atchannaidu to join their party and said that the allegations were completely baseless.
Home Minister said that YSRCP had never invited Atchannaidu to join the party. She said that the state government had ordered for a detailed probe as he has looted Employees State Insurance (ESI) funds worth Rs 150 crore.
Sucharita said that Atchannaidu swindled the funds with all counterfeit bills by threatening the ESI directors. She added that he didn't even listen to the advice of ESI directors, and involved in a huge scam.
Home Minister said that TDP leader has made use of his Minister position during the TDP regime to threaten the ESI directors with his power. All the accused related to the ESI Scam were arrested with all proper evidence, and there are few more high-level people involved in this scam and all the details will be disclosed in the investigation.
Sucharita further said that even Minister JC Diwakar Reddy family were also involved in several Irregularities during the TDP regime. The Home Minister said that JC Diwakar Reddy family members have cheated the transport department by creating fake documents and even operated the buses without proper licenses and risked the lives of several people.
