Tadepalli, March 7: Affirming that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has championed the cause of women empowerment on the social, economic and political fronts, YSRCP has said that there is no safety and security for women in the coalition government.
Speaking to media here on Friday on the eve of International Women’s Day, party spokesperson Are Shyamala said women are being cheated by the coalition government by not implementing the election promises while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stands out on the welfare front as women were the beneficiaries of 90 percent of the Navaratnalu welfare schemes.
The Talliki Vandanam, Deepam free bus travel for women, Stree Nidhi and all schemes announced by the coalition are either non-starters or limping badly without reaching the beneficiaries. Some of the schemes announced by TDP and its allies are now coming out with riders which is nothing short of riders, she said.

The attacks on women and minors are on the rise and the coalition government has failed badly on the law and order front. The Home Minister has presented data on atrocities on women but she did not disclose the action taken. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan who talked tall on women safety now has no voice to speak, she said.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the other hand had brought in Disha App and ensured women safety besides providing over 50 percent seats to women in local bodies. In the cabinet as well he has given prime positions to women, she said.
The coalition government lacks credibility and commitment for the women’s cause, she said adding that Chandrababu Naidu had cheated women self-help groups even in his previous term and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had come to their rescue after taking over the reins.
