YSRCP slams Chandrababu’s lies on Polavaram

Tadepalli, Sept 20: YSRCP has slammed Chandrababu for telling blatant lies on Polavaram and affirmed that it was he who has delayed and destroyed the progress of the multi-purpose project for his selfish means. 

Speaking to media here on Saturday, former minister Ambati Rambabu said, he has been telling blatant lies on Polavaram and trying to blame former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the delay while the reality is that it was Chandrababu’s inefficiency that has push the progress of Polavaram backwards.

The expert committee in its report has highlighted the failures of Chandrababu government in the progress of project and also said that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government in 2020 has taken appropriate and corrective measures to undo the damage. 

The project which was supposed to be completed by the Centre as per the State Reorganisation Act was taken by Chandrababu Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had commented it was taken not to provide irrigation needs of the people but as it served as an ATM. 
Chandrababu has laid multiple foundation stones and damaged the structural engineering part badly and is now claiming that he has done a lot and tried to shift the blame of delay on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy which is the other way round. 

It was Dr YS Rajsekhar Reddy who had brought all permits for the Polavaram while Chandrababu is making false claims on the project as is his habit, he said adding that even during Covid, work on Polavaram went on during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government. 

Chandrababu has agreed to lessen the height of Polavaram project and also agreed for the 2013-14 rates which shows how he had blundered  and delayed the project.
