Chandrababu telling white lies on Polavaram

Hyderabad, September 21: Reiterating that Chandrababu has damaged and destroyed Polavaramn project due to his inefficiency and greed, YSRCP has said that project has seen progress during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy' term.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, former Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said, Chandrababu's inefficiency and greed had dampened Polavaram while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken firm steps to undo the damage.

Chandrababu has been spreading lies on the project unmindful of the fact that Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy has brought all the permissions and sanctions and YS Jagan has negotiated with the Centre to undo the damage done by TDP. 

The state was at a losing end with the pact of Naidu on Polavaram in 2015 agreeing with the rate card bringing down the Rs 50,000 crore project to Rs 20,000 crore.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy convinced the Centre and revised the rate to Rs 48,000 crore. 

Naidu is responsible for the delay in the project with his wrong priorities and greed right from taking over the project from the Centre. The height of lies he spread was that he brought water to Kuppam and his false claim went unchallenged in the House. 

The land acquisition began from 2004. How can he build D-wall without completing the preliminary works, he questioned.

The funds we brought are now being spent by the coalition, he said and blamed Chandrababu for the delay and destruction of the project.
