Amaravati, March 4: Condemning the news in a section of media that YSRCP had been threatening candidates to withdraw in civic polls, Government Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said YSRCP would not tolerate the false propaganda and will proceed legally by filing defamation case against those responsible.
Addressing media at party central office here on Thursday, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said it was not possible to threaten someone to withdraw in elections at present times where technology is at good use. He said the candidate should go in person or send his authorized agent for withdrawal and they can proceed legally following due procedures if any threatening was there.
He asserted that the results of the panchayat elections will be repeated in the forthcoming municipal elections and said the urban body elections will be held for 12 corporations and 75 municipalities of which three corporations and twelve municipalities are unanimous and YSRCP would sweep in civic polls are they are being held on party symbol. He said Naidu is habituated to lies and it’s proved once again through their manifesto for municipal elections.
He released a pamphlet with details of the schemes implemented since YSRCP came to power and said it should be widely publicized in towns and cities. He said YSRCP is going for civic polls with the slogan “Support the good governance in forthcoming municipal elections”.
