Bengaluru, Nov 2: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has strongly condemned the incident of an attack on a school girl at Rapthadu and demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakhs to the family.
Speaking to media after consoling the girl at a hospital here on Monday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the availability of liquor and ganja at every nook and corner of the State is the reason for such heinous crime.
Government should own responsibility and compensate the family as the attacker could walk into the ZP High School with an electric saw and attack the girl.
Such incidents happen only due to the indifference of the government in safeguarding women and minors.
The uncle of the injured girl is YSRCP mandal convenor and what is happening in the State is in accordance with the Red Book constitution, he said adding that this is the ninth incident of such a manner in the constituency.
The Party will stand by the injured girl who is battling for life and withstood surgery and doctors say that she is recovering.
If the Government fails to compensate the girl, YSRCP will take it up on coming to power and settle the issue within one month, he said
