YS Jagan to meet Governor on Dec 18 to submit One Crore Signatures opposing medical college privatization

Tadepalli, Dec 10:Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will meet Hon’ble Governor Abdul Nazeer on December 18 to formally present the public objection against the privatization of ten new government medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The Raj Bhavan has confirmed the appointment through a communication from the Governor’s Special CS. YS Jagan, along with key party leaders and elected representatives, will meet the Governor at 4 PM on that day.
Earlier, the appointment was scheduled for December 17, but due to unavoidable reasons, it has been rescheduled to December 18. During the meeting, YS Jagan will brief the Governor on the widespread public resistance to the government’s privatization move and submit the one crore signatures collected by the YSRCP through its statewide mass mobilization campaign. The signed petitions from all 26 districts are currently being transported to Vijayawada in designated vehicles for presentation at Raj Bhavan.
