Temples not safe under coalition govt.
31 Dec 2025 11:20 AM

Anantapur, Dec 31: YSRCP has said temples are not safe under the coalition government and neglect is going on, and Pawan Kalyan who claims to be the protector of Sanatana Dharma has fallen silent.
The recent incident of vandalisation of an idol in the centuries-old Tapeswaraswamy temple of Saptapadi Godavari was covered up by replacing the idol without following due traditions and rituals.
Speaking to media here on Tuesday, Party panelist Jwalapuram Srikanth said the vandalisation of the idol came to light when some devotees posted it on social media, and the authorities, without following rituals, replaced it, furthering the damage without the involvement of the Archaeology or Endowments Departments.
We demand that the accused be brought to book immediately and the damage undone. The RSS and Hindu organisations have been fighting for the cause, but Pawan Kalyan, who has taken up the cause of Sanatana Dharma, should come out openly and quit his post if necessary, he said.
Even during the Rama Teertham incident, the blame was shifted on YSRCP while the accused was seen taking a cash reward from Ashok Gajapathi Raju.
We condemn the incident and demand justice, he said.
