Tadepalli, September 4: Former MP Thalari Rangaiah launched a sharp attack on the coalition government, questioning its right to hold a “Super Six Success Sabha” in Anantapur when the district has faced only injustice under its rule. Addressing the media at YSRCP Central Office, he said:
“There is no RDT renewal, no water for Anantapur, no medical college at Penukonda. What success are you celebrating?”
The government is abandoning people’s issues while focusing only on power-sharing. “You have time to distribute tickets and posts, but no time to renew RDT. It has sustained it since 1969, yet you let it die. Instead, you preach P4 concepts. This is like cutting off healthy legs and giving a Jaipur foot,” he said.
Rangaiah highlighted the injustice in water supply: “From your meeting venue, a lined canal carries water to Kuppam. Yet nearby Kalyanadurg and Rayadurg — drought-hit regions — are denied. When will you give us water? Will you address this in your Sabha?”
On healthcare betrayal, he said the prestigious AIIMS meant for Anantapur was shifted to Mangalagiri, Lokesh’s constituency, while even the Penukonda Medical College established by YS Jagan was pushed into PPP mode, depriving the poor of access.
Turning to liquor corruption, Rangaiah threw an open challenge: “From Hindupur to Ichchapuram, can any coalition leader claim their constituency is free of belt shops? In Kalyanadurg alone, 389 exist. Each bottle is looted for Rs. 10–Rs. 40. This government’s illicit liquor earnings are unprecedented, making Chandrababu the richest CM and TDP MPs the richest in India — all while robbing the poor man’s drink.”
On Pawan Kalyan’s failures, he said, “Before elections, you filled potholes with tractors in Anantapur. A year later, the same potholes remain. You promised free gas and free buses, but delivered nothing. Meanwhile, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is the only CM in India to waive Rs. 27,000 crore SHG loans and deposit Rs. 75,000 over four years into women’s accounts. That is true empowerment.”
Rangaiah reminded that his questioning ensured 5 acres of land and a government job for the Sugali Preeti family, but slammed the coalition for its apathy towards women’s safety. “In Nandikotkur’s Mucchumarri case, even the victim’s body was denied to her family. This is the reality under the so-called triple-engine government.”
Concluding, he declared that the Super Six Sabha is nothing but a Super Lie. Before celebrating, the coalition must explain how it will deliver justice to Anantapur.”
