SC ruling, a wake-up call for Chandrababu

Guntur, June 13: Former Minister and YSRCP Guntur District President Ambati Rambabu said the Supreme Court verdict is a wake-up call for Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking to the media after a YSRCP Legal Cell meeting in Guntur, Rambabu criticized the coalition government for falsely implicating Kommineni in an SC/ST atrocity case to deny him bail, targeting him for working with Sakshi.
The Supreme Court ordered his immediate release, condemning the police’s actions as unlawful and a violation of democratic principles.
Rambabu warned that police must act constitutionally, or face legal consequences. He accused the police of following Naidu’s orders, citing instances like the public assault of youths in Tenali. He emphasized that courts, not police, should deliver justice.
He condemned the misuse of power, stating that such actions won’t last in a democracy. He called on police to reflect on their conduct and vowed that YSRCP’s legal team would challenge the government’s unlawful actions.
The Supreme Court’s verdict, he said, is a rebuke to Naidu’s authoritarian tactics.
