Liquor mafia thrives under Naidu

Anantapur, Oct 5: Former Minister and senior YSRCP leader Sakke Shailajanath has lashed out at Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, running the State on lies, scams, and spurious liquor rackets that endanger poor people’s lives.
Speaking to the media at the YSRCP district office, Shailajanath said Naidu, who once styled himself as “brand ambassador for quality liquor,” now stands exposed after a massive fake liquor den was unearthed in Thamballapalle. “These counterfeit liquor factories are run by TDP leaders themselves. The CM is shielding his own party men, scapegoating migrant workers, and covering up the role of the real masterminds,” he charged.

He said reports confirm that the Thamballapalle unit alone was producing 20,000 bottles daily, proving this could not happen without government knowledge. “This is only a small glimpse. Across Andhra Pradesh, dozens of such fake liquor factories are operating with coalition protection. 99% percent of liquor shops are controlled by TDP leaders, belt shops are rampant, and liquor is being sold at inflated rates for the profit of MLAs and ministers,” he said.
Shailajanath noted that the so-called “liquor scam” is nothing but privatization of state-run shops, auctions rigged in favor of TDP cronies, and a parallel mafia of belt shops. “If this is not a scam, then what is? This is a scam of scams,” he remarked.

He further slammed the government for failing to protect the vulnerable: “From the death of an infant at a state-run child care home due to negligence, to the brutal assault on a Dalit girl in Yedugurralapalle, to the betrayal of 13 lakh auto drivers who were promised Rs. 15,000 a year but only Rs. 436 crore was allocated instead of the required Rs. 2,250 crore, this coalition has shown utter disregard for people’s lives and welfare,” he said.

“Chandrababu’s regime is a rule of deceit, scams, and betrayal. The coalition government itself is the best example of ‘rule of the wicked,” Shailajanath declared.
