Ex-CBI JD nexus with Chandrababu Exposed

YSR Congress party Ambati Rambabu

Hyderabad: Official spokesman of the YSR Congress party Ambati Rambabu stated that the nexus between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and former joint director of the Central Bureau of investigation, VV Lakshminarayana was now exposed. Rambabu said that the mala fide nexus between Chandrababu Naidu and former CBI Joint Director, VV Lakshminarayana was exposed with the latter joining the yellow party and reportedly contesting from Bhimili constituency in Visakhapatnam district.

Rambabu was addressing the media at the party headquarters in Hyderabad on the occasion of eighth anniversary celebrations of the YSR Congress party. The senior leader reminded media persons that the party came into being at a time when there were conspiracies against Dr YSR’s family.

Ambati Rambabu asserted that the YSRCP would stand by the people of Andhra Pradesh despite any number of conspiracies against it and difficulties that it has faced and has been battling against. He told media persons that people had immense faith in the leadership of party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy‘s ideals and legacy. The YSRCP as an opposition party, stood up to the tyranny unleashed by the TDP and stood rock-like by the people of Andhra Pradesh and for the interests of the state, he said.

Reports in the yellow media stating that former CBI joint director Lakshminarayana would contest from Bheemili clearly reveal the nexus between him and Chandrababu Naidu, the senior YSRCP leader pointed out.

The case on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was foisted with political motives with Congress and TDP joining hands and the case was taken up in a tearing hurry by the CBI with VV Lakshminarayana who as the Investigation Officer (IO) went overboard to support TDP and the yellow media. Information of In-camera proceedings was leaked out to the friendly media and VV Lakshminarayana's phone was constantly sending and receiving messages and phone calls from the agents of Chandrababu Naidu and many stories were planted during the course of investigation.

‘Our leader was denied bail after the mandatory 90 day custody and the IO had given information from the records breaking all service rules which established the links with TDP and its agents,’ he said.

While holding a senior position in CBI JD VV Lakshminarayana after a massive search operation, spoke falsehoods about YS Jagan‘s Lotus Pond residence claiming it had hundreds of rooms, swimming pools and other luxury facilities all of which were clearly lies. It is now evident that as joint director of CBI then, VV Lakshminarayana was parroting the lies which he was asked to peddle by Chandrababu Naidu to the media.

The senior YSRCP leader reminded pressmen that back the YSR Congress party had demanded that the call data of Chandrababu Naidu and joint director CBI, VV Lakshminarayana be probed and made public.

When a petition was filed to look into the corruption charges against Chandrababu Naidu, the same CBI had said that it has shortage of staff which shows its dual standards, he said.

As the charges framed were fictitious in nature with mala fide intentions there was no proper evidence to establish them beyond reasonable doubt, he said and added that "our stand of the nexus is vindicated by the rewarding of assembly seat to the former cop, who was very cooperative and accommodative to the TDP and its agents."

Ambati Rambabu said that despite all attempts at that time to finish the YSRCP, it emerged as an even stronger political force today. Former JD of CBI VV Lakshminarayana and Chandrababu Naidu colluded to destroy the party only to strengthen it further, he observed. The people of Andhra Pradesh will teach a fitting lesson to such people with diabolical intentions, the senior leader asserted.
