Development Boost In Panyam Due To Greenko Industries and Owk Reservoir Construction

YSRCP’s Samajika Sadhikara bus yatra on its 39th day was held amidst festive fervour in Panyam assembly constituency in Nandyal district today. Senior party leaders including Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, MPs Sanjeev Kumar, Maddila Gurumoorthy, along with MLAs Katasani Rambhupal Reddy and Hafeez Khan highlighted how the YSRCP government ensured welfare along with development and prioritised the social and political empowerment of the marginalised.

Addressing a huge gathering, Panyam MLA Katasani Rambhuapal Reddy asserted that for the YSRCP government led by CM Jagan, welfare and development always go hand-in-hand. He stated, "Prioritizing the welfare of the underprivileged, the YSRCP government allocated Rs 170 crore through various welfare schemes to benefit BC, SC, ST, and Minority communities in the Panyam constituency. Simultaneously, the government also facilitated significant employment opportunities for the youth by establishing Greenko Group Industries, which invested Rs 27,000 crore in solar, hydro, and wind electricity generation projects at Pinnapuram in Panyam."

Highlighting the completion of the Owk reservoir, the MLA informed, "With the Owk reservoir now finished, the government can store 11 tmc of water, which can be effectively utilised for irrigation purposes by farmers in and around the entire Kurnool region."

He also emphasised the government's commitment to infrastructure development, noting, "The YSRCP government has undertaken projects worth Rs 800 crore under Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) limits and executed development works worth Rs 60 crore in Panyam constituency."

Later, Deputy Chief Minister Narayana Swamy praised CM Jagan for steadfastly adhering to his ideology and uplifting downtrodden communities. He stated, "CM Jagan believes that true empowerment of the poor can only be achieved by believing in them, investing in them and helping them lead a life of dignity. In this regard, the government implemented the Navratnalu welfare schemes promised in the previous election in totality and deposited funds directly into the bank accounts of the poor through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)."

"In addition, the government transformed school education by modernising government schools, introducing English medium education. In fact, Andhra Pradesh is also the only state to hold free medical camps at all Sachivalayams which provided not just free consultation but also free medicines and free treatment upto Rs 25 lakh to those eligible under the AarogyaSri scheme. Which other state has even attempted such a feat?" he asked.
