Tadepalli, Oct 13: YSR Congress Party Legal Cell State President Manohar Reddy and SC Cell State President TJR Sudhakar Babu strongly condemned the criminal conspiracy orchestrated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to divert the liquor investigation and maliciously target YSRCP.
Addressing the media at the party’s central office, they said that the sudden release of a video by A1 accused Addepalli Janardhan Rao while he is in judicial custody exposes a pre-planned political script prepared in the TDP office. They questioned how a remand prisoner managed to record and circulate a video without the involvement of police and excise authorities, and asserted that this was done with the full knowledge and direction of Chandrababu Naidu.
The leaders exposed that the accused in the fake liquor case, including Janardhan Rao, Jayachandra Reddy, and Surendra Naidu, are close associates of Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh, as proven by several public photographs and records. They said that after TDP came to power, the fake liquor mafia flourished across the state under government protection like a criminal industry. They questioned how Janardhan Rao was allowed to return lavishly from South Africa to Andhra Pradesh and was secretly escorted from Gannavaram Airport by excise officials before being coached on whom to blame. They said it is now clear that Janardhan Rao was trained to take former minister Jogi Ramesh’s name as part of this diversion plan.
Manohar Reddy and Sudhakar Babu also revealed a suspicious timeline behind the conspiracy: Janardhan Rao was arrested on October 11, remanded on October 12, and a scripted video was released on October 13. Within 24 hours, the accused made baseless allegations against YSRCP, soon after Chandrababu hinted during his late-night press meet that he would frame YSRCP in the case. They said that instead of arresting the masterminds of the fake liquor mafia, Chandrababu is shamelessly running diversion politics in fear of being exposed. They criticized the SIT investigation as a drama to destroy evidence and protect TDP leaders, pointing out that if SIT was truly independent, it must explain how the video was leaked to yellow media during investigation.
They accused Chandrababu of misusing the police system, suppressing democracy, and manipulating institutions for political vendetta. They demanded a CBI inquiry into the fake liquor racket, investigation into the illegal leakage of the judicial custody video, and immediate action against those protecting Janardhan Rao. They said the people of Andhra Pradesh are watching everything and will teach TDP a lesson for protecting criminals and ruining the lives of thousands through fake liquor.
