State facing health emergency

Srikakulam, Oct 12: YSRCP has slammed the coalition government for not clearing Aarogyasri dues in the name of scrutiny, badly affecting the public health system of poorer sections, and demanded immediate clearance of dues.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, former minister Seediri Appalaraju said the bills are being stopped only for the sake of bribes.
Condemning the Health Minister’s remarks, he said Aarogyasri bills to the tune of Rs 3,000 crore have been pending.
Hospitals have stopped services as the dues were not cleared, he said.
The Health Minister parrots whatever Chandrababu and Lokesh say, he said.
The health sector has been pushed into a deep crisis, he said.
There seems to be a health emergency in the state with Aarogyasri bills pending, doctors in network hospitals going on strike, and no trace of 104 and 108 vehicles.
In the name of an insurance scheme replacing Aarogyasri, there is a Rs 6,000 crore scam, he said.
