Chandrababu Neglecting Real Problems And Speaking Irrelevant Things

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) spokesman and Sattenapalli MLA candidate Ambati Rambabu lambasted Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for neglecting the serious agrarian crisis and distress in the farm sector. He pointed out that 8 farmers had committed suicide in 6 weeks and instead of focusing on this tragedy confronting the state, Chandrababu was talking about irrelevant things. He added that it is strange that he calls repolling ordered by the Election Commission of India in 5 polling booths of Chandragiri constituency undemocratic and reminded the TDP leadership that Dalits were not allowed to vote in some villages. The YSRCP had in fact, sought a repoll in 7 polling booths, but the Election Commission of India had ordered a repoll in only 5 booths, Rambabu said.
The senior YSRCP leader cited examples from 2014 elections in Chandragiri showing how 95-99 per cent votes were cast for TDP. April 11 was a repeat of this exercise, Rambabu said. This is the reason why the ECI ordered repoll in 5 polling booths though the YSRCP had pleaded for it in seven booths.
The ECI had ordered a repoll after going through evidence recorded in the webcam. The ECI examined the case and to ensure that Dalits in the area cast their vote without fear, ordered a repoll, Ambati Rambabu said.
